Consent to the Processing of Personal Data for Marketing Purposes

The User agrees that the Operator may contact them for marketing purposes, in particular by sending commercial communications via email, telephone, and/or post. The User may receive various information about the Operator’s services and products, as well as those of cooperating partners, depending on the User’s preferences and expressed interest in specific topics and events. The User may modify their preferences within their user account or by sending an email to gdpr@edsystem.cz.

By checking the consent box, the User grants consent to the processing of their personal data to the extent of contact information, including first name, last name, address, email address, and telephone number, for the above-mentioned purpose of sending marketing communications about the Operator’s products and those of cooperating partners via email, telephone, or post. The User further agrees that data regarding their website activity and usage may be processed through tracking technologies.

This consent may be withdrawn at any time by sending an email to gdpr@edsystem.cz.

Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy

The User acknowledges that the Operator is entitled to collect, store, and process the User’s personal data to the necessary extent, including first name, last name, residential address, email address, telephone number, IP address, and data regarding website activity, in the manner defined by the provider of tracking technology, including any sensitive and other personal data continuously made available by the User (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Data”), for the following purposes:

(i) performance of obligations arising from a request or contract concluded with the User,
(ii) sending commercial communications and other information regarding the Operator’s business electronically in accordance with applicable regulations and improving the quality of the Operator’s services,
(iii) performance of related contracts, in particular contracts with additional suppliers providing services to the Operator,
(iv) fulfillment of other legal obligations related to the User’s request or a contract concluded with the Operator and its performance, and/or
(v) protection of the Operator’s legitimate interests in judicial, administrative, or other proceedings.

The Operator shall adequately protect such Personal Data, process it exclusively for the above purposes, and retain it only for the period necessary to fulfill those purposes.

The Operator hereby duly informs the data subject of their right to request:

(i) access to their Personal Data and its rectification,
(ii) erasure and/or data portability,
(iii) the right to object to processing,

by contacting the Operator via email at gdpr@edsystem.cz. Requests will be handled without undue delay, and no later than within 30 days, in accordance with Articles 15–23 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

The User has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (The Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, Czech Republic).

The Operator is entitled, in the case of repeated or manifestly unfounded requests, to charge a reasonable fee corresponding to the administrative costs associated with handling such requests.

After a brief introduction to the portal and basic setup, I was able to quickly purchase my first licenses and add customers. If a customer already has a tenant, you need to add them to the system and request proper classification, but Ms. Adámková from eD is extremely helpful and always accommodating. When creating a completely new customer without a tenant, the process is fully automated—the system on the portal and on Microsoft’s platform creates everything needed, and I can immediately start creating users and assigning licenses. I have been using the portal to order SaaS for six months, and I appreciate its simplicity and speed. Immediate activation and delivery to the customer is a major benefit. Compared to CSP, purchasing additional licenses is easier, and maintaining the same expiration date eliminates complicated invoicing for customers who have multiple products with different expiration dates. The only thing to keep in mind is to calculate the price of the product for the shorter period before offering it to the customer.
