Microsoft Office is the world's most popular suite of office applications, offering cloud services, artificial intelligence, and real-time collaboration. But what if you need an Office that is stable, secure, and doesn't require frequent updates?

For these cases, there is Office Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC)—it is designed for regulated devices, process control devices, specialized systems, or simply for those who prefer the traditional licensing model. And right now, you have the opportunity to try the new Office LTSC 2024 version, which is available in a commercial preview.

What Does Office LTSC 2024 Bring?

Office LTSC 2024 is based on features from past versions but also adds new features and improvements, such as:

In Outlook, it's easier to schedule meetings and search for information.
In Excel, you can use new chart types and dynamic arrays.
Performance, security, and accessibility will be improved across the entire Office suite.

Office LTSC 2024 will ship without the Publisher application (which is being retired) and without the Teams application (which you can download separately). Office LTSC 2024 will be supported for five years and will be compatible with both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

General availability will follow later this year.

I have been using the portal to order SaaS for six months, and I appreciate its simplicity and speed. Immediate activation and delivery to the customer is a major benefit. Compared to CSP, purchasing additional licenses is easier, and maintaining the same expiration date eliminates complicated invoicing for customers who have multiple products with different expiration dates. The only thing to keep in mind is to calculate the price of the product for the shorter period before offering it to the customer.
